The State of Queensland (“the State”) is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of persons who access this web site. The State understands and appreciates that users of this web site are concerned about their privacy and the confidentiality and security of any personal information that may become available to the State as a result of their use of this web site.

Use of cookies, web bugs or other similar information technologies
Cookies are used on this web site for the sole purpose of allowing a user to carry information across different pages. Cookies are not used to track or identify users or for any other purpose. (A cookie is a piece of information or a small file placed on the hard drive of a web site user’s computer during the exchange of information that occurs when a web browser accesses a web site. Management logs
When you view this web site, the Department’s web server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes only: your server address;
- your top level domain (for example, .com, .gov, .au etc.);
- the date and time of your visit to the web site;
- the pages accessed and documents downloaded;
- the previous site visited; and

No attempt is, or will be, made to identify users of this web site or their browsing activities except in the event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect activity logs.
Information collected by the Department will not be added to a mailing list or disclosed to third parties without your consent, unless required by law.
Handling of email correspondence and feedback information
As this is a Queensland Government web site, email correspondence sent to this web site will be treated as a public record and will be retained as required by the Public Records Act 2002. It will also be subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 1992.
